All of the internship prompts will be posted here.

Starting June 7th – BE IN CONTACT WITH YOUR ADVISOR.  MAKE SURE YOU ARE AVAILABLE AND AWARE OF YOUR ADVISORY GROUPS ARRIVAL TIME ON FRIDAY June 14TH.

9th post (June 7):  Project near completion
Do you have a sense of accomplishment?  What have you put together for a project? How do your experiences compare to school?

8th post (June 5): Conflict and Mediation
Describes any conflicts that exist at your site.  This could also be between your site and the outside world.  If there have been conflicts, then what has been done to resolve them. If there are no conflicts, then describe your Utopian world and why everyone gets along so well.

7th post (May 31):  Mentor interview
Ask you mentor about their career choices.  How did he or she go about getting this job?  What education did they undertake?  What choices did they make along the way that took them a different direction?  Why did they choose this work?  What part about their work do they like the most?  What would they change?  Additionally, you should add two additional questions.  Consider the decisions you will have to make in your own future.  What choices will you have to make?  What education will you have to obtain?   In order to achieve some of these skills you see at work, what will you have to do?
Note:  Be sure to post the transcript from the interview.

6th post (May 29):  Are you making a meaningful contribution to your workplace?  What project (s) are you working on?  What accomplishment will you feel proudest of?  What did you learn about the quality and quantity of your work?What qualities and characteristic do you see in your coworkers would you like to develop in yourself?

5th post (May 24): From the class generated list o’ prompts:  Tell some funny stories.  (This could be something that happened to you or something you witnessed during your internship. )  Have you had any awkward moments?

4th post (May 22):  How does it feel to be back at work?  What was your attitude as you arrived at work?  How did the place feel when you got there? What do you plan to accomplish this week?

3rd post (May 17): What HTH skills did you use in your first week?  This could be lab skills, computer skills, or communication skills.  Any skills you wish you had, but weren’t prepared for?

2nd post (May 15):  Describe your first day.  Use descriptive language.  How did it match your expectations?

1st post (May 9):  Write out your expectations for your first day.  Also include your mentor’s name and their full contact information.
