Alex Bozzette (HTH '08) and Deus Cosmos

Alex Bozzette is interested in medicine, politics and travel.  He was part of the first HTH African Bushmeat Expedition.  As a rising senior at Georgetown University Alex decided to travel around the world studying Multidrug-resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB).  He is keeping a fantastic blog about his discoveries which are medical, cultural, geographic, and all very interesting.  Pictured above is Deus Cosmos, Roots & Shoots leader and founder of the Rafiki Foundation.  Deus visited us at HTH in 2008 and we later met up with him in his homeland, Tanzania.

HTH grad student from the field, Amber Moore, N.I.H.

Amber Moore gained some experience in biomedical science as an HTH intern at the VA Hospital and the Salk Institute.  After graduating from Bryn Mawr Amber has been doing cancer research at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland.   Soon she will be off to work with  Dr. Hiroaki Mitsuya in Japan doing research on HIV/AIDS.
